Who are we?
Based on the beautiful and scenic Ynys Mon (Anglesey), Gwynedd Bowmen is the Archery club in North West Wales. During the winter months the club’s regular shooting day is Friday and is located at the Amlwch Leisure Centre, shooting times at are 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
The club welcomes everyone and we are keen to show that Archery is a sport for all. Welcoming, all archers and future archers, you won’t feel out of place and will soon be enjoying the company and friendly atmosphere or even competing with each other to satisfy that competitive nature.
Experienced registered archers (with GNAS) are more than welcome to shoot with us at visitor rates. Just bring your equipment and your current GNAS membership card and get stuck in. If you are a visitor just make yourself known to a committee member, who will point you in the right direction.
No experience? Don’t worry!
Beginners of all ages are always welcome. Twice a year we run our Beginners course where you can learn the techniques and acquire the knowledge to safely enjoy our fantastic sport. Our current membership age range is between 10 and 80+ something, this nearly always includes many “Senior Beginners”. If you’d like to pursue this massively addictive sport then you need to book a place on a beginner’s course.
